With yet another few weeks of Tier 3 on the cards for Leeds there has really never been a better excuse to throw on your comfies, order a takeout and support the hospitality industry whilst doing so. You may be familiar with Chaophraya, a hidden gem nestled in the centre of Leeds, offering up authentic Thai cuisine.
Chaophraya recently launched a ‘Dine at Home’ service, so we sent resident foodie blogger @garston.eats along to see what all the fuss was about. Chaophraya have condensed the menu for the takeout offering, but it still has something for everyone, meat eaters, pescatarians, veggies and vegans alike, it’s a really lovely selection. The menu holds a range of traditional dishes including Pandan Chicken, Tom Yum Soup and Thai Curries along with some more modern twists on Thai cuisine including some Thai Tacos, which we’re definitely ordering next time.
Charlotte ordered the Vegetable Spring Rolls for starter, these came paired with a sweet chilli sauce and were perfectly loaded full of filling and still super crispy. For main, the Seafood Udon Noodles, packed with seafood, veggies and a delicious spicy sauce, if you’re adverse to spice we’d recommend giving this one a miss. The Seafood Udon Noodles holds a ‘two chilli’ spice rating, great if you’re a lover of all things spicy!
What did we love most? It’s great to see the high standard of food offered in the restaurant carried across to the takeout. The restaurant only takes a limited number of ordered each evening to ensure the highest quality and presentation was on point, meaning you can really get that restaurant feel at home. The menu is super detailed with everything from spice levels to recommendations from Chaophraya themselves which comes in handy and a full allergen breakdown is available online.
You can order yourself a taste of Thailand, available for collection throughout the week and what’s more, you can bag yourself 25% off all orders throughout December Sunday-Thursday.
